Perfectly Imperfect

For this collection I have build six very complex images. In every image I have combined a man-made object with an element of nature and subsequently representing the link and amalgamation of beauty and intelligence.
I created a ‘perfect’ rose to use within my other montage images by copying one half of a rose and repeating it so the flower had complete symmetry. To me this is very significant. A rose is considered very beauty and sign of perfection however they are not perfectly symmetrical or without faults. Therefore by constructing this, I have constructed beauty where at a first look, the rose seems like an unedited rose.
The first set of images that show the rose inside the bulb head itself is particularly very powerful. It is to represent inner beauty as literally the element of beauty is inside the man-made creation and ‘brains’ of the image. The second set of images also show the roses inside the bulbs which is a representation of how there are many different types of beauty that come in all shapes and sizes.
The last set of images show different bulb on top of tree landscapes. I think the editing on these images is very clever as they perfectly show that beauty and nature can be seen in different lights. The trees in the background of the image are seen as negative through the dark, dense area of the bulb. Furthermore, I think fact that the trees fill the frame of the image represent that beauty and nature is everywhere, which is an important concept to my project.
